I’ve been playing Salt Creek for many years, I’m kind of a regular there. I like the course, fun, usually pretty quick to play, get in a quick 9.
My only compkaint is, lately the rough has been left so high it really slows down play. The fairways have been significantly narrowed down on many holes, so you often play from the rough, which has becone almost ‘US Open’ length. Most players here are average ability, you don’t see many low-handicap golfers here, and most of us struggke to play out of rough this deep. On top of it, many players (including myself) are spending a lot of time searching for their balls, often without success. I lost a few myself yesyerday, just could not find ‘em in the deep rough. So I’m requesting the grounds crew to give us average golfers a break & widen the fairwsys a little & also cut the rough to a more playable length This will make for a better & less frustrating experience for most of us & will almost certainly speed up play considerably due to less time wasted looking for balls.
