Chief Egan Golf Course at Silvies
The Chief Egan Golf Course is a 9 hole par 3 golf course in Seneca, Oregon.
Designed by Dan Hixson, this short course features water on every hole and strategically-placed bunkers throughout. Distances range from 70-120 yards. The course features smaller greens, so accurate shots are the key to shooting par. Goat caddies are available if you’re looking to check a unique experience off of your bucket list.
Curious about the naming of this course? Chief Egan was the last War Chief of the Paiute Tribe. The course location sits on Paiute Creek close to where Egan camped during his battle with the U.S. Cavalry back in 1882.
If you play the Chief Egan Golf Course, you can finish up your day with some time at Silvies 18 hole putting course, which is believed to be the first of its kind. The course is free for resort guests.
