Lil Wispy at the Ridge (Coming Soon)
Lil Wispy is a future par 3 course in Souix Center, Iowa.
Fundraising is underway for this new short course, which will be a part of The Ridge Golf Club. In October 2023, the Souix Center City Council donated $15,000 to help kickstart construction. The total cost for this project will fall somewhere in the 2 million dollar range, and the course will take more than a year to be ready for play.
Lil Wispy will be a great addition for golfers and tourists in the Souix City area. Hole distances will vary from 100-185 yards, with water and sand bunkers factoring in throughout the loop. Many of Lil Wispy’s greens will be based on famous greens from all over the world. Here is the projected breakdown for each hole:
- Hole 1 (Double): 105 yards
- Hole 2 (Punch Bowl): 110 yards
- Hole 3 (Short): 100 yards
- Hole 4 (Redan): 175 yards
- Hole 5 (Biarritz): 185 yards
- Hole 6 (Postage Stamp): 125 yards
- Hole 7 (Volcano): 105 yards
- Hole 8 (Eden): 140 yards
- Hole 9 (Double): 120 yards
