The Par 3 at Oakwood Country Club is a private par 3 golf course in Kansas City, Missouri.

Planning for this course first started in 2021. Architect Todd Clark and writer/designer Ron Whitten trudged through 28 acres of woods and developed an impressive 9 hole layout that’s inspired by famous courses all over the world. Golfers will see hints of the 12th hole at Augusta National and the 7th at Spyglass Hill as well as design features from Whistling Straits, Pine Valley, Royal Wimbledon Golf Club, and The Olympic Club.

In the words of Oakwood Country Club superintendent Brent Racer, this is “not a normal par-3 course.”

Each hole features two tees, with distances ranging from 92-157 yards. The back tees play about 1,100 yards. Guy Cipriano over at Golf Course Industry has two great articles focusing on the development of the par 3 at Oakwood Country Club.
