The Short Course at Mountain Shadows is a par 3 in Scottsdale, Arizona.
This course originally opened in 1961 under the design vision of Arthur Jack Snyder, but it was recently redesigned by his mentee, Forrest Richardson. Richardson’s design efforts received a prestigious “Renovation of the Year” nod from Golf Inc. Golf.com also highlighted The Short Course as one of the “Best Par-3 Courses in America.”
All that to say, this course is worth a visit.
Golfers can expect hole distances ranging from 75-200 yards. There are great scenic views to help balance out the 18 bunkers that look to swallow up your shots.
Other on-site amenities include:

  • Putting and chipping area
  • Multiple dining options

Outstanding executive course, little pricy for dead summer but all in all I’ll be heading back!
