Riverside Par 3 Golf Course in San Antonio
Riverside Golf Course is home to a par 3 golf course in San Antonio, Texas.
The 9 hole course sits about 4 miles away from downtown San Antonio, so if you’re visiting the city and want to play golf, Riverside is a super-convenient option. Renovations began on this course in late 2022, so be sure to call ahead to determine whether the course is open or closed (tentative re-opening late 2023). Goals for the renovations include:
- Redesigned tees, greens, fairways and bunkers
- New water features
- Updated clubhouse
- On course restrooms
The par 3 course was built back in the 1960s and the San Antonio River runs nearby. This course is ideal for beginner and intermediate golfers, families, and those looking for some work on their short game. Hole distances range from 80-120 yards.
History buffs might also enjoy playing the Riverside Championship Course. This course sits on the same grounds where Teddy Roosevelt (my favorite president) and the Rough Riders trained.
