The Bad Little Nine is a private par 3 in Scottsdale, Arizona. It is part of the Scottsdale National Golf Club.

This mind-bending par 3 may be one of the most difficult short courses in existence thanks to the vision of Bob Parsons. His ideas prompted the team at Jackson Kahn Design to build a par 3 layout that demands extreme accuracy, a healthy dose of luck, and other-worldly putting skills. Hole distances range from 86-153 yards, but the distances hardly matter. Tim Gavrich of Golf Pass says:

On many holes, merely hitting the green from the tee feels like making contact with a Major-League fastball.

Golfers should expect irregular mounds, greens that boast an unhealthy amount of slope, as well as deep trenches and bunkers that round out the experience.

Getting to play the Bad Little Nine is a unique privilege, and if you happen to play on a Friday, there’s a $1,000 bar credit for any lucky soul who breaks par.

Good luck!

Night golf is also offered on this already-challenging course.
