The Match at PGA National
The Match at PGA National is a new executive golf course located in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
This unique course opened in September 2021 and rethinks the golf experience from start to finish. Forget traditional scorecards and tee markers, this revolutionary course layout is all about having fun. In fact, it is suggested that the winner (or loser) of a hole, gets to choose the next tee location.
That’s right, there are no fixed tee locations. This is a living and breathing course experience.
Award-winning course designer Andy Staples designed this course for match play (best ball, foursomes, skins and other fun golf games).
The design of the course is inspired by some of the best holes in golf history, but golfers of all skill levels will appreciate the shorter distances and the shorter play time. There are a few bunkers in the mix to keep things interesting, but overall, hazards are kept to a minimum. The total course distance is about 5,800 yards, but remember, the distance changes based on where golfers decide to tee off.
The Match Golf Course is a great compliment to Andy Staples’ par 3, The Staple, which is also located on-site. Short course enthusiasts should put both of these courses on their bucket list!
