Tom's 10

Tom’s 10 is a private par 3 course in Big Sky, Montana. It is part of the Spanish Peaks Mountain Club.
This 10 hole par 3 opened in July of 2024 and is named after Hall of Fame golfer Tom Weiskopf. Tom passed away in 2022, and Tom’s 10 pays homage to some of his favorite golf holes from around the world. Golfers can expect elevation changes, bunkers, and water (including a pond stocked with westslope cutthroat trout). Hole distances range from 90-161 yards.
Co-architect Phil Smith had this to say about Weiskopf:
This final project is a direct reflection of his [Weiskopf’s] commitment to his craft.
The “replica” holes featured on the course include:
- Hole 1 (#18 at Loch Lomond, Scotland)
- Hole 2 (#6 at Riviera, California)
- Hole 3 (#8 at Royal Troon, Scotland)
- Hole 4 (#16 at Augusta National, Georgia)
- Hole 5 (#10 at Pine Valley, New Jersey)
- Hole 6 (The Old #18 at Spanish Peaks, Montana)
- Hole 7 (Reminiscent of the perched greens at Pinehurst #2)
- Hole 8 (#17 at Merion, Pennsylvania)
- Hole 9 (#7 at Pebble Beach, California)
- Hole 10 (#14 at Frost Creek, Colorado)
This is an incredible course to play, but it is only open to Spanish Peaks Mountain Club members and their guests.
If you have the chance to visit this par 3, be sure to stop by the old log cabin. This building was transported from one of Weiskopf’s properties, reassembled on site, and converted into a comfort station that includes memorabilia from his career.
